Davis Aircraft Products designs and manufactures standard and customized personnel and cargo restraint systems and solutions for the aerospace, defence and transportation markets. These products include aircraft seat belts and their components, cargo nets, high strength cargo tie downs using chain gear and web assemblies, as well as litter cot systems, helicopter slings and nets.

Davis hardware products include buckles, hooks, rings, studs, floor plates, web assemblies and seat belt assemblies. Seat belts and harnesses are fully approved and include 4 and 5 point rotary buckles and 16g inertia reel systems. Belts and harnesses can be certified to TSO-C22 and TSO-C114. Customized platings and logos are available together with a choice of over 100 web colours.

Davis is responsible for the design and development of tie-down components for the Internal Cargo Handling System (ICHS) for the U.S. Marine Corps CH-53K helicopter. Davis’s Advanced Cargo Tie Down System (ACATS) is an energy attenuating cargo tie down system designed for use in rotary wing aircraft. It incorporates attenuators which absorb crash energy by means of permanent deformation, and thus protect aircraft structure from the crash loads. The design is based on an innovative fibre webbing material which combines the high strength (36,000 lb, 14,170 kg) and low elongation of chain systems, with the reduced weight and ease of handling of strap systems.

Davis has over 60 years of experience and operates three manufacturing plants. An engineering-based, privately owned company, it specializes in customized design and quality manufacturing at competitive prices. Customers include Boeing, Cessna, USAF, Lockheed Martin Sikorsky and Southwest Airlines as well as defence and civil customers in Canada and internationally.
