Herborner Pumpenfabrik has a 130-year history of innovation in the design, fabrication and support of water pumps and condensate units used in the harshest operating environments. Today, the company's pumps are used in a broad variety of applications that include water treatment plants and swimming pools, sewage and waste-water pumps, a broad range of industrial applications, and civil and defence marine applications including both civil and military ships and offshore applications such as drilling platforms.

For the demanding marine environment, Herborner Pumpenfabrik has developed its Unipump family and is vertically integrated, with an in-house casting foundry to ensure the highest quality levels. Since 2001, the company has invested over 3.5 million Euros in updating its business information systems and casting and machining resources.

A recent innovation is the adoption of Permanent Magnet (PM) pumps that substantially reduce energy consumption.

The head office and a manufacturing facility are located in Herborn, Germany, with a second facility in Landsberg near Leipzig.
