Kaycom is the exclusive Canadian and North American military distributor of self-developing dental x-ray film manufactured by Italian company Dental Film srl. This product is widely used by militaries, and is particularly well suited for mobile dentistry at deployed locations and in operational theatres because of its self-contained nature. Dental Film's products are approved by the United States military. Dark rooms or developing equipment are not required, and immediate diagnoses can be made. Within a minute of use, results are displayed at the patient's chair.
These products are environmentally friendly, being cadmium and lead free, and the liquid is retained within the film pouch, for ease of disposal. High quality images can be readily archived. This product is in use with the US Military at all field dental locations. It is also well suited for humanitarian aid as a substitute for a full dental facility and can be easily combined with portable dental x-ray machines to access remote locations or disaster sites.
